How do I find my VPN connection's internal IP Address?

Introduction

GlobalProtect is the program used for VPN access to the District's network. It layers an encrypted communication channel on top of your Internet connection, connecting you directly to the SD59 network. This article details how to find the internal IP address of your VPN connection from the GlobalProtect Client.

Finding the Internal IP Address of the VPN Connection

The GlobalProtect client must be installed and connected to the SD59 VPN network first.

  1. Click the GlobalProtect icon in the menu bar (Mac) or system tray (Windows).
  2. Click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top right of the popup
  3. Select the Settings menu option.
  4. Click on the Connection tab.
  5. Your IP address is listed beside Assigned Local IP.  It will start with a 10. when connected to the SD59 VPN.
