Sending Bus Notifications Via Email and Text

Required Access
Transportation Editor
All Routes Running as Scheduled
- Go to https://drupal7.sd59.bc.ca
- Login at the top of the screen
- Go Content > Add Content > Busing Notification
- Set the status drop down to On Schedule (It's the default)
- Check Dawson Creek and Chetwynd
- Check box for Broadcast After Create/Update
- Fill in the body field (this is emailed and text to the signed up users)
If a Route is Changed to Cancelled or Running Late
- Go Content > Add Content > Busing Notification
- Set the status drop down to On Schedule (It's the default)
- Check the box for the affected route
- Check box for Broadcast After Create/Update
- Fill in the body field (this is emailed and text to the signed up users)
If an Entire Area is Cancelled (After Previously Expecting to Run)
- Go Content > Add Content > Busing Notification
- Set the status drop down to Cancelled
- Check the box for the area route
- Check box for Broadcast After Create/Update
- Fill in the body field (this is emailed and text to the signed up users)
If Things Get Messed Up and You Don't Really Know How to Fix it
- Creating a new post and broadcasting it will send out a new message, there no undo.
Tips and Tricks
- If a route is late in the morning, you do not need to do anything to the notification system for the afternoon.
- It only needs to be changed on the District Website
