Frequently Asked Question

How do students log in?
Last Updated 10 days ago

Book Creator can be accessed by students through the following link: https://app.bookcreator.com/

Students have three different options for signing in.

IMPORTANT!  Sign-in methods cannot be mixed.  Each sign-in method will create a separate account.  If students use more than one method, their data will be split between multiple accounts.

  1. Microsoft (recommended)

Students must have a Microsoft 365 account to use this method.

To sign in using this method, students click the "Sign In with Microsoft" button, then enter their SD59 e-mail address (e.g. s123456@sd59.bc.ca) to log in.

  2. Google

Students must have a Peacenet account to use this method.

To sign in using this method, students click the "Sign In with Google" button, then enter their Peacenet e-mail address (e.g. s123456@peacenet.sd59.bc.ca) to log in to the Google login page.  Then, they will need to log in with their SD59 e-mail address (e.g. s123456@sd59.bc.ca) on the blue SD59 login page.

  3. QR Code

To use a QR Code to log in, the computer being used must have a camera to scan the barcode.

First, teachers must provide student access.  When logged in as a teacher, click the User icon in the top right, then select Student Logins.  Click the Add More Students button if you already have entered some students.  Enter student names in the Create Student Login field.  Select the desired default library.Once all logins have been set up, there is a convenient way of printing a sheet of barcodes for all entered students.  On the Manage Student Logins screen, on the All Logins option, click on the QR Code button, then select Print or Download as appropriate.

Students then click the "Sign in with QR Code" button, allow camera access if required, then hold the QR code up to the computer's camera so it can be scanned.
