It's always a good idea to keep an eye on your OneDrive application's status to ensure your data is being backed up continually.
System and software updates can sometimes interrupt this.
The quickest way is to look for the cloud icon at the top of your screen and click it. You should see something like the following:
If OneDrive doesn't appear at the top it can be launched manually from the Applications folder or from spotlight (Command+Space).
If the cloud at the top is a bit faint that's an indication OneDrive may not be signed in. This sometimes happens after updating. Until it is signed in your data will not sync with microsoft's cloud.
