How do I change my school's information?

Quick Start

To edit a school's information, go to the school's page, then click the Edit link.  Make changes as necessary, then click Save at the bottom of the page.

Introduction

Certain pieces of information about a school are tied directly to the school page, such as the school's address and public contact information.  The process for editing this information is slightly different than editing a node.

Instructions

  1. Log in to the SD59 website. If you are not currently logged in, the login link is at the bottom of the page.
  2. Navigate to your school's page. In the main navigation menu, click on Schools, then click on your school's name.
  3. In the navigation tabs (underneath the school title), click on Edit.
  4. You can change any of the fields as necessary:
    • School Info tab, Languages field: Which languages of instruction are offered at the school.  Displayed on the school page.
    • School Info tab, Address field: The mailing address of the school.  Usually displayed on the school page.
    • School Info tab, Region field: Which community the school is most associated with.
    • Contact Info tab, E-mail field: The school's e-mail address.  Can be left empty if the school does not have an e-mail address.
    • Contact Info tab, Telephone Numbers field: The school's telephone number(s).
    • Contact Info tab, Fax Numbers field: The school's fax number(s).
    • Summary tab, Body field: The content of the school's About page.  Note that the About page contains other elements as well, such as a map.
  5. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page to save any changes.
