Frequently Asked Question
Zoom offers a lot of customization for audio sources. Input and Output are both controlled by the chevron next to the Mic/Mute Icon in the bottom left. In my photo below I have both a HDMI output (like a projector or TV) as well as a bluetooth option (could be a soundbar or headset). Microphones can also be changed as often as you like here (bluetooth headsets are great for zoom!). Any new audio device takes about 5 seconds to appear in this list for input or output.
If you are hosting a zoom and want your audience to hear your computer's sound (a game or video for example) then 'Share sound' must be selected as below:

Screen sharing won't work on most macs by default until the privacy settings are modified.
This will require enabling privileges (guide here: https://support.sd59.bc.ca/kb/faq.php?id=58)
After engaging privileges open system settings:
Find Privacy & Security on the left and choose 'Screen & System Audio Recording'
Last step.. ensure zoom is enabled for this access (same setting for GoToMeeting, Webex, Teams, Skype, or web browsers).
